Hotel Cretan Malia Park

The hotel is situated indeed very nice but very alone and remote from the civilization (therefore very silent)!. There are three or four taverns and three shops outside of the location. There are also two or three further - not so great - hotels in the neighborhood.
The place Malia - is a loud village with wild night life - is reachable in about 20 -25 min of walking. Public bus was available, but we didnt need it.
Transfer from the airport is about 1 hour, as the hotel is the last droven station.

Excessively friendly and competent partially multilingual personnel at the reception, shop and the main and garden restaurants (German, English obligatory).
The room cleaniness was inconspicuous and functioned without any problem (no bugs).

Main, specialties and garden restaurant, as well a beach bar are available. Food - breakfast and evening meal (buffet), very tasty with big choice of the meals and deserts. Everything very clean, drinks were served very fast, empty plates quick polished off. In spite of the upscale hotel standard the drinks prices were only marginal on average.

We have not used sport and entertainment programms.
The animateurs were pleasantly lukewarm.
The swimming pools - pool landscapes are good situated in the hotel location, they were very large, nice designed and always clean (always enough amount of lying chairs and umbrellas available).
The beach (lying spot) has enough sand spots and good lying beds and umbrellas. The trees were also available (additional shadows).
Entrance to the sea: uneven chiseled ledges make the swimming impossible in the hotel beach part. Close to the hotel beach there is an open accessible beach - with lying beds, buffet, children playing spot etc - where only maximal 50 m wide entrance (sand) into the sea is possible. It was mid September, therefore not so tragic that out of 9 holiday days on 6 days there was the "red flag" waiving which meant that the swimming is not allowed.

The rooms (furniture, safe, refrigerator, water boiler, TV available) were in order.
The bath tab and somewhat not successfully arranged fittings were something to get used to.
