Melia Las Palmas is now Cristina Las Palmas

Melia Las Palmas is no longer Melia. It has changed its name to Cristina Las Palmas. I am wondering why. Some floors have been renewed as the 8th floor where our special seaview room was. The room has a big terrace with great views over Las Canteras beach. The free internet was not working in our room. There was no wifi signal on the 8th floor. Also no signal from the ethernet plug. In the lobby the internet worked fine. The common facilities are more four star than five star.
