Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is overall was already aged, the rooms are a bit worn. A complete renovation would have been appropriate. However, Our room was clean, the air conditioning and the TV (but only went in cranked up) functioned flawlessly. Most of the guests were from the UK or Holland, some Germans indians ... Everything very mixed. The age structure was colorful by mixed. If you are looking for a solid place to stay without a lot of knick-knack and looking for evening itself to the night is - this is the place for you.
Location
From the airport is approximately 40 minutes from the hotel. The beach was about 15 minutes, it must be said back steep uphill but is approximately 10 minutes. The hotel is located right on the "strip" - the party area of Albufeira. Bars, clubs etc. are therefore situated directly next door and across the street. It is accordingly loud until 3 or 4 in the morning. A diving station is about 5 minutes from the hotel.
The clearing away of plates for food didn't work so really and you didn't have to space for plate with the dessert to the other plates on the table stack. overall, the staff were very friendly, one lady at the reception spoke German very well, the other English. The room was cleaned every day.
Gastronomy
There was always rolls with different sausage and cheese with yoghurt, fruit and jams. Full English breakfast were left in divided into two days (once bacon, beans and scrambled eggs then hard egg, sausage and fried tomatoes). The bacon was our opinion uncooked, he was tough and sliced way too thick. The sausage was from the glass and tasted accordingly. In the evening there was also provides for many of the freezer respectively. Also had some main courses always the same rather peculiar after or taste. The desserts were definitely not made and especially the creams only tasted like additives.
Sport & Entertainment Unused
Room
The room was big enough, and there was a large clothes closet available. The shower curtain in the bathroom and the bathtub and the rest of the bathroom were clean. The room was already a little bit worn, new furniture wouldn't be bad. The mattress was very very firm. There was no minibar or refrigerator. There is also wireless internet access in the rooms. In addition, we looked for the TV remote control. Whether it is German channels we can't say. Our room at the pool (and therefore not to "the strip") addition it was until 3 or 4 in the morning quite noisy.
Tips and recommendations
If you're looking for a hotel that is right at the party area and not very high standards of comfort and food is, this is certainly true. To the beach it is a nice walk back to the hotel (especially uphill ... ) - for people with children and therefore there is plenty beach toys" and so on may be a bit of a hassle. The beach is very nice and especially clean. Don't be put off only from the first bay to the we came and the mostly very busy. Just a little further afield, then less activity.
