Outstanding hotel
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe were fortunate to have chosen Dana beach hotel for our months holiday. On arrival in the early hours of the morning the desk staff were so helpful and courteous. never once during our long stay did we have cause to complain about the staff in fact quite the reverse. They were a credit to the hotel. We were amazed at the continued cleanliness of the hotel both in the public areas and also our bedroom. The buffet offered a great choice in variety in all the restauarants and I have to single out in particular the German Kaiser restaurant for the evening meal. The staff could not do enough to make our dining such a pleasant experience particularly the gentleman called Mohamed Ali. We were all inclusive and we consider it outstanding value. We are from the Uk and were certainly in the monority to both the Russians and Germans and we must say that they were mostly very rude and ignorant with no social skills, but we did not allow them to spoil our enjoyment.
Location
The hotel and the grounds were a credit to the staff who never stopped cleaning and gardening throughout our stay. The beach provided every service a guest could wish for with food and drinks available all the time from 10am. The hotel was only a 15 minute ride from the airport and we were that satisfied with our surroundings we only ventured out on 2 occasions once to visit another hotel and the other to take the submarine trip. The shops over the road from the hotel provided us with a few hours of browsing but were not of too high a standard .
As I previously mentioned the staff were attentive and courteous at all times. We reported a couple of faults in our room and they were rectified within an hour. The room service was again outstanding.
I did attend the clinic and again the doctor was courteous and knowledgeable without charging an exorbitant rate.

There were plenty of bars and refreshment areas along with 4 restaurants and even though there were many other visitors the waiting time was non existent. There was always an abundance of food and no sooner had you finished eating than your plates were taken away. Any drink you required was always made available and in abundance. Once again the cleanliness was second to none.
I personally am a very plain eater and had no problem finding an adequate variation of food to eat. cerainly the Kaiser restaurant was a delight.
Sport & Entertainment
Again we can find no fault with any of the facilities. The middle pool was heated and was a pleasure to use. The area was hosed down every morning before the beds were in use. The Island bar again provided a welcome break from the sunbeds and again the staff could not do enough for us
Room
Large room, large walk in shower , large balcony. In fact was excellent and kept clean every day. The mini bar was topped up daily.
Tips and recommendations
Cell phone access was no problem. The value for money was outstanding. The weather was perfect for 25 out of our 28 days. There was one night a cloudburst which caused many problems with flooding and furniture being soaked but this only lasted for one day. We have travelled to many destinations throughout the world and would rate this as perhaps one of the best vakues we have ever had and will not hesitate to return next year.
