Hotel Dawar el Omda

I would say that El Gouna was only suitable to swim and do water sports.
No big shopping possibilities or sightseeing tours near.
The beach belonging to the hotel was reachable by shuttle boat, which stopped 400-500 meters away from the hotel and drove the whole day.

Recommendation: Book safari at Alex at the beach: driving quadbike and snorkelling... was great for just 25 euros.

The staff was really very nice, however you directly had to draw the line between friends and being friendly.
The communication worked perfectly.
All locals very really totally nice and obliging starting at the airport. Unfortunately, my wife fell very ill so that she had to go to hospital. They were very helpful there too. From the nurse to the ambulance driver.
The employees of the hotel looked after us touchingly, they even brought flowers to the hospital!!!! Where does this also happen?

You had to weigh it up here. I always became sated. There were many things from everything. I didn't look that good. I didn't look bad either, I want to say that I like "European standard" at eating and potatoes and goulash just look different in Egypt. But I nearly tried everything and I have to say: A: I'm still alive, B: Really EVERYTHING was good.
I think everyone got his money worth here.
Just the bar was a bit disturbing at times, because they were sometimes a bit slow.
Cleanliness and hygiene good as well.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was great!!!

Sports was only possible at the beach, because everything had to do with water... and air. Book excursions at the beach, really cheap and really great... We could swim with dolphins... we didn't touched them, but when they swam 3 meters away from you, it wasn't bad either.
There were enough umbrellas and beach chairs, for free for all inclusive guests; otherwise, I don't know. You got a great beach chair for a small tip.

We think that we wouldn't book this hotel if we had kids... they would become bored.

The pool was small but it looked well looked after and the guests used it very often. We preferred to stay at the beach where also a beach bar of the hotel was.

The rooms were good and clean. Nicely furnished. Air-conditioning, telephone, hair-dryer, kettle, cheap minibar (for the circumstances of a minibar), safe.
Partly terrace and partly balcony, direct view to the lagoon.

Take bathing shoes with you, the only thing that wasn't that good was the shower tub that was already a bit old.

Try it, I would go there again, so would my wife.

Take out health insurance!!!!
1 day in the hospital cost the same as in my native country Germany.
