Hotel Dawar el Omda

It wasn't far to the beach, you were quickly brought to the beach with a shuttle boat. Hurghada was about 40 minutes away from El Gouna. A bus drove there several times a day. But you could shop much more relaxed in El Gouna than in Hurghada, there was no forcing on and no talking into buying something, that was forbidden.
I can't say much about excursions since we wanted to recover and we've been in Egypt so often that we actually already saw everything worth seeing. There was belly dance on the marketplace of El Gouna twice a week.

The employees were very friendly and cordial.
English and Arabic, some employees were learning German very assiduously since more and more German tourists booked this hotel during the preceding months.
If you had a complaint they immediately looked into it and tried to solve the problem. There was a very good hospital in El Gouna, you were in good keeping there.

There was only one small dining room and a small bar in this small hotel, but you didn't need more anyway. Every evening, they offered dishes from a specific country, that country was the theme of that evening. Many small containers were filled with much delicious food and everyone became sated and everyone found enough food to eat. Cleanliness and hygiene were very important to them, they cleaned all day long and kept everything clean. Of course, tips were very welcome like everywhere else, that's normal to me, we've never had problems with that. The people were dependent on them and were very thankful for every pound they got.

There were enough beach chairs and pool chairs for everyone, no one hat to get up at 6 am and reserve them.
No entertainment, no kids club, we didn't care, we were there without kids, just a holiday at the beach and pure relaxation.
There was an internet cafe in El Gouna accessible for everyone.

Big, spacious, well-furnished room.
Air-conditioning, flat screen TV, minibar and hair-dryer were available. Big balcony with view to the lagoon, very quiet and very relaxing, pure relaxation for us. All rooms were cleaned every day and towels were also changed every day. There was a kettle with which you could already have your first coffee on the room, during sunrise! A spacious closet for clothes, a bench and a small round table in the middle of the room were there.

Mobile phone was no problem, it wasn't that expensive. Everyone has to decide for himself which is the best holiday period I guess and inform himself before, we go to Egypt during any season we can make holiday.
