Great hotel. Hard to think of anything to recommend how it could be improved. The service and management were extremely efficient and friendly. There were 1,000 guests when we were there, mostly East Europeans and Germans, with a fair number of British, but remarkably little queueing or waiting was needed. The hotel is 5 years old, but still in very good condition, and very clean and well cared for.

Location

Suns

The location was on a private beach, about 20 minutes from the airport, and 30 minutes from the centre of Antalya by daily shuttle - all perfect. The immediate surroundings were bland - afew tourist shops and cafes, but with an all-inclusive package you don't need near-by bars and food outlets.

Without exception the staff were friendly and efficient. Not once did we ask for any type of drink which failed to arrive. At busy times in the main restaurant service was slow, but it was easy enough to get your own drinks if you were desperate!

The choice in the main restaurant was superb the first time you go in. The dishes change a lot, but inevitably it has a samey feel by the end of the fortnight. The a la cartes are a good idea to add variety. Their food is pretty similar to what is on offer in the main restaurant, but it is just nice to have a whole meal served to you without you and other people buzzing around to and from the buffet tables. The French was our favourite, but the Mexican and Italian were good too, and the Ottoman had a great location on its own terrace. We missed pork products, 14 breakfasts without bacon, sausage or pork cold cuts was a bit too much. All-in-all, though, we enjoyed the food more than any other hotel we've been to, including up-market cruises.

Sport & Entertainment

Poolside yoga, belly dancing and pilates was good for women, men's sports were a bit more limited and seemed to attract some loud, posturing types. The junior children's club was the least successful element of the resort. It mixed 9 to 14 year-olds in the same events, and although the staff were very good and attentive, that spread of ages can't mix well. The pool was a good size, and at a uniform 1.4m depth was great for poor swimmers. The water slides were a big hit with our son, and the nightly fun fare was a lovely feature. You didn't need to get up too early to get loungers with shades, which saves the Brits from stress!

The room was an adequate size, quiet and with good a/c. Cleaning and restocking the fridge were faultless.
