Hotel Delphin Palace

The big plus of the area was the closeness to the airport. Transfer only 25 minutes. Very pleasant was the nearby Antalya so that if you wanted you could an idea of real Turkish city atmosphere. Enough of the usual excursions were offered (rafting, Aqua Parc, dolphin shows, etc.). The very clean and enough shaded hotel beach sloped down steeply and because of that was only partially suitable for infants. You could easily forget the immediate area: the hotel was located on a busy road which was partly lined with unfinished buildings. Here loads of textile stores were located with rip-offs (jerserys, Lacoste, Hilfiger, etc.). For shopping Antalya or Manavgat was more recommendable.

The highlight anyway were the staff. Overly friendly and service orientated without excessive pushyness. The orders were taken immediately and put into practice right away. Great!!! If you wanted you could even let yourself be served free food and drink at every time of day. The room service occured every day but was a bit careless.

The dishes were offered in a main restaurant with a super terrace and a snack bar at the beach. The quality of the dishes was remarkable and very extensive but in the end not really great. The fish was mostly fried in fat, the beef/lamb was of poor quality, chicken and turkey were better. The salad offer was very good and of high quality. Great was the wafer-thin flat bread and show-cooking in the morning. Also the freshly squeezed orange juice we liked. The coffee was very varied. The Chinese theme restaurant you shouldn't have bothered about.

The pool landscape and the slides were absolutely super. The water was pleasant and very clean.
The activities were not as annoying as in the other all inclusive areas. If you wanted you joined in otherwise you were left alone. For kids and youths quite a bit was offered (football, dart, round-a-bout, kids club, cinema). For 20 Euros per hour you could book a professional tennis coach. Our son was thrilled.
The evening shows were partly on a very high level. We had Russian artists and saw African acrobats, very good!!!

We had the standard room with a partial view of the sea, very good but no exalted level. The mattresses were also very poor. The bathroom was ok but nothing more. The minibar was re-filled every day, well but the cooling wasn't enough. The highlight was the very good air conditioning, an important detail in the summer.
The view of the sea was dampend by the view of the street at the same time.

On the whole an excellent area with room to improve. An absolute recommendation for families. Gourmets and hygiene fanatics surely would bind better locations. If you missed the hotel shuttle you could drive to Antalya with the bus line 105. A visit at the hair dresser and a massage parlor was also worth it.
