Hotel Donat

50-100 m to the beach, to visit the centre of Zadar take a bus. The hotel is located in the hotel resort Borik with some other hotels of Falkenstainer family.
Next to Donat is hotel Zadar - in very poor condition.

When we arrived, the man at the reception desk said: " What's your problem?"
" Šta vas muči?" (in Croatian)
I guess he should say: "Good afternoon sir. Welcome to our hotel. Did you travel well? What can I do for you? " That would be a little bit more friendly. The room was cleaned every day, also the staff in the bar and restaurant was vwery kind.

All inclusive + self service means: Go ahead and eat till you fall down if you are some fat redneck.
It changes your attitude to the food. You don't respect it anymore as you shoud.
But anyway the food was good, mediterranean type - lots of fish and vegetables, only the juices in the bar were too sweet and no still water to reduce the sweetness, only mineral.

I guess enough activities for everybody, the pool was OK, but we were swimming in the sea.
About the beach: it's a hotel complex beach, so the other people (who are not the hotel guests) must pay for visit the beach. Reasonable. But in this case I would expect much less garbage on the floor. And there is a sign: no dogs, no scooters, no bikes! Nobody cares. Even the "ZADAR security" drives the scooter when passing the beach.

We had a family room: enough place for 5 people. I mean Enough.
Cable TV, phone. There is also a little kitchen hub in this family room, but the cooker is off due to fire danger. So we had to warm the milk for the baby in the all incl. bar. Should be written in the tourist agency prospect.
The showers' courtain was too short or the podium was too shallow, so there was a lot of water spillt on the floor after somebody had a shower.

Nice hotel with ***, if you don't expect the Ritz, you will be satisfied.
