Affordable and centrally located in the heart of Boston *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Doubletree downtown is part of the Hilton Group. In the sum appeared to be value for money for a hotel in the center of Boston ok. The rooms are attractive and contemporary in style, the room service is perfect. Breakfast costs but - as in many American hotels - fee: about $12 per person. If it was too expensive, in the nearby cafes cheaper meals. The guests come from all over the world: tourists, groups, business travelers. WiFi is available for free in the hotel foyer, in the rooms for a fee. The neighboring YMCA sports club under the Chinese direction, must guests free of charge. On the roof there is even a small "broad".
Location
The location of the house in a Häuserschlucht in the immediate neighborhood two Großkrankenhäuser isn't exactly cozy, but the absolute advantage of the Doubletree is its central location: From the airport, it is easy for guests with handlichem luggage with the metro (Silver line to South station, Red Line to downtown Crossing and then 2 stops orange line to New England Medical Center). The hotel is situated a few steps away from the subway station on Washington Street, on several hundred meters away the shopping mile begins. The Boston Common is two blocks away, Chinatown is around the corner.
The service in the house is the standard. The staff is authentic-professional. Foreign language skills maynot we can't make statements. Upon check-in for every guest there is a darling "chocolate brownie" to welcome ...
Gastronomy
There is a trustworthy looking restaurant on site. We haven't took advantage of the Theater District around the corner is a wide range of attractive alternatives.
Sport & Entertainment Unused
Room
Our room was friendly and modern furnishings, the carpet was clean, the air conditioning (and those of ALL neighbors) was. Better not sleep with an open window ... TV, coffee machine, telephone were available, minibar do not.
Tips and recommendations
A rental car is unnecessary in Boston and expensive!!! The parking in the hotel's parking lot are about a day cabana rental for the rental car! The Metro in Boston is a bit old (the oldest in the United States - and this perspective again a landmark), but very convenient. From the hotel you can also many attractions within walking distance. The trolly stop the hop-on-hop-off" Trolleytouren is located near the hotel.
