Good 4* hotel for guests 50-90 y.o. without kids

Definetely quiet and nice architecture, good location close to El Duque beach, but boring overall for families with kids and guests below 45
Garden needs attention (no full time gardener on site)
Location
1 Klasse. Top location. Costa Adeje is far more quiet and distinct than Playa de las Americas or Los Christianos (rather cheap resorts)
OK, except... only 1 iron per 260 rooms ! :) wow...
Gastronomy
> lots of fancy seafood or very, very fatty food, but not much of it actually eatable... \'show-cooking\' - meant simply frying meat or re-heating pasta (all sorts of pasta & pizza tasted really 2*-like)
> drinks served with dinner (HB) bear no price tags (be careful what you order ! otherwise brace yourself for a nasty surprise - a hefty check-out invoice - or opt for AI)
Sport & Entertainment
> facilities for kids - a joke ! (only 1 small pool and tiny & dull kindergarten hidden on a dark terrace - one needs ordering visit there with a reception !)
> entertainment in-house only, max. until 22: 30 and generally aimed at rather elderly audience
> 2 hidden tennis courts
> very good SPA
Room
> poor quality picture cable TV (not satellite)
> no cockroaches but LOADS of ants in rooms (1st floor) !
> nothing to put your cloths to dry out (on a balcony or terrace)
Tips and recommendations
Special rooms overview nearby building site but the noise isn\'t a nuisance.
The best hotels in the same area (5*):
H10 Costa Adeje Palace (great garden, mini-golf, big play area for kids, a pool bar, fountains, etc.)
