Hotel Dream Gran Tacande

The beach was about 200 meters away from the pool entrance. It was the beach 'Playa El Duce' which counted as the most beautiful beach section. Free toilets were available at the beach, showers cost 2.20 Euros. Beach chairs and umbrellas you only got at the beach for a charge.
Nearby there were a few shopping centers in the high price as well as also in the low price segment. A supermarket was in a distance of 50 meters.
We had a hire car. I recommend already booking this from home. There it was more expensive. An excursion to the Loro Parque and into the mountains to the Teide was a must!

The hotel staff were very friendly, especially to kids. As good as everyone spoke German. The waiters mostly all spoke German, English and sometimes also French and Italian.
The room was cleaned every day. On one day they forgot. After complaining at reception it was immediately made up for.
At the moment they were building a bit of a distance away. So you had noise disturbances (during the day). Altough only in the area and at the pool. At the beach you couldn't hear anything.

There was a buffet restaurant, a service restaurant and the bar at the pool.
The breakfast and dinner offer were more than enough. The choice of dishes was very high. It wasn't possible for me to try out everything. My stomach was too small for that! For breakfast there were different juices, all freshly squeezed, otherwise that what should be at a buffet including freshly cut fruit and sliced fruit.
At dinner you had the choice between 2 different sorts of fish and meat which were freshly prepared freshly on the hot plates. Further pizza and pasta dishes, finished meat and fish dishes, side dishes, salads, pastry, ice cream and fresh fruit. Once a week outside on a charcoal grill different meat was prepared. There was something there for every taste.
The buffet was always re-filled.
Tables were always layed new.

No brilliant activities during the day.
I can't say much about the pool. It was clean, there were enough beach chairs and umbrellas. Reservations weren't necessary.
The beach 'Playa El Duce' counted as the most beautiful beach section in the area. It was made up out of white Sahara sand. Because of the tide there were a few waves in the sand. Careful with small kids!

King size beds, a couch and a chair. Desk and a closet with minibar and TV.
The TV wasn't big. The international channels were a bit snowy.
Air conditioning could be bared, didn't blow!! onto the bed. There was a terrace with a roof with 2 basket chairs with a partial ocean view.
Prices of the minibar could be bared (beer 0.33 liters: 2.55 Euros; water 0.5 liters: 2.30 Euros).
The condition was clean and not used.

On the whole island we had cell phone reception (moviestar). Telephone booths could be reached in a short distance. Wine should be bought in the supermarket, in the hotel a bottle cost 3 times as much.
If you liked to go to the beach should at least take umbrellas.
Beach cushions could be bought for 1 Euro per piece.
