Hotel Eden Playa

The beach was very close and ok, but could also be better in the region. There was only 1 overpriced tourist supermarket, downtown was not within walking distance for a quick purchase. If the food was good, not more would be necessary.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, spoke several languages. The maids spoke only Spanish, worked super though too. The mini-club care was also great.

And now the big problem: Both breakfast and dinner were not good. Here the quantity did not lack, but the quality. The fruit was not ripe, warm food was only lukewarm, the largest part of the vegetables were canned and the food was hard to combine. And the chef seemed to have a preference for peppers and fried food.

The pool was really great, very large and a very large part for non-swimmers! That allowed kids to splash about to their hearts' content. We thought the activities were also good, since they were very nice and not all too pushy! The beach could be a better location, yet was still not rated as bad.

Rooms and furnishings were not brand new, but they were well kept and very clean. But the kitchen was however quite spartan, whoever wanted to cook himself on holiday, it was not so suitable, as for example only 2 small hotplates. Also there was no coffee maker in the kitchen!

We were there for 1 week and thought it was ok, as junior really had a lot of fun in the pool and with the kids program it was off season, so it was not so crowded. But for the same budget there were just much better hotels, so we did not recommend this hotel!
