Hotel Eden Playa

The hotel was at a great location. We needed 3 minutes from our room to the long beach. The path was over a wooden catwalk with view of the sea. No bothering streets - only dunes and sand. That was hard to beat.

The guarded beach slooped very lightly and was also ideal for kids.

On the other hotel side, which was separated by a small street, were all of the necessary shopping possibilities and a Europcar car rental.

The transfer from/to the airport lasted about an hour.

In the hotel there was a hairdresser, washing machine and a heated indoor pool.

The hotel had a main restaurant, a separate ala Carte restaurant and a grill, which wasn't used during our holiday.

In addition there was a bar area with a comfortable lounge area and a closed stage area with additional seats for the evening entertainment.

We had booked half board. In the price breakfast and supper in the main restaurant (buffet) were included. At the visit to the ala Carte restaurant there was a reduction of 20% for half board guests. We didn't try ala Carte, since our daughter rather wanted buffet. Our rating is only about the main restaurant.

The breakfast was good. There was always some bread, bread rolls, diverse cold cuts and cheese sorts, eggs (boiled, fried and scrambled), baked beans, breakfast ham, pancakes, croissants and other sweet rolls, yoghurt, fruit granola etc. In addition changing burgers, hot dogs (not our taste) hash browns and... (I couldn't list them all). In addition cocoa, coffee, cappucino and tea. Cold drinks were from a machine - sadly not very good taste, rather artificial. For the very good breakfast, fresh orange juice was missing.

For supper there was just something missing. The rating would be content to satisfactory. Partly finished products were served.

Evenings there were two mealtimes. The first evening one had to decide for a time and received an assigned table. We enjoyed it since there was no evening search for a table.

The restaurant was always clean. The prices for the evening drinks were in order (Cola, Fanta, Beer 5,55 Eur). Opened wine bottles would have been stored until the next evening and stood punctually on the table.

During the day there were snacks to still the appetite. Sadly only finished products as hamburger, hot dog, sandwich and the same. Local typical Tapas, Bread with garlic, tomatoes and ham or similar weren't at all offered.

The drink selection at the bar was in order. The prices were in the usual niveau.

The pool and the bordering area were well designed. The outdoor area was altogether a beautiful design. Since we were almost always traveling during the day, we couldn't give any rating about the sport and entertainment offer during the day.

On a few evenings there were really an impressive performances from different external artists and entertainers. Note: Very Good

Otherwise the evening program was almost always after the same pattern. An evening program with the entertainment including the miniclub, was opposite to the external actors, which were mostly to be sympathized.

The size and the furniture in the rooms were in order. However they were older and partly slightly in need of renovation.

Our daughter was glad about her complete bed.

Book a bed and breakfast! Daily one could deside for or against the supper in the main restaurant.

We telephoned a few times from the hotel to Germany and we were amazed at the small price (we forgot the minute price).
