The hotel was located in north Mallorca, with the airport in the south, distance ca. 60 km. We had booked a private transfer, since we didn't want to lose time with the TUI bus, in case these brought other tourists to other hotels still. For the drive we needed ca. 60 min., cost 70 Eur for 3 persons, booked over www. galitransmallorca.com, we could recommend it.

The hotel made an average impression, the reception area, bar, 2 restaurants were good to ok, pools were very good, flats bad. Everything very clean, tourists mainly families, many children.

Direct in front of the hotel there was a small supermarket, a toy store, an Europcar (Seat IBIZA cost ca. 60 Euro daily, ca. 350 Eur /weekly,
Tip: (check out children seat before rental), a pizzeria and a steak house in walking distance. To Alcudia center it was 2 km, there were cheap shopping possibilities, a pediatrician, pharmacy.

The distance to the public beach ca. 100m.

Highs and lows. The cleaning maids and waiter, bar very good. Restaurant director and reception rather bad, in half board restaurant the guests were more 'processed' than served.

Daily room cleaning very good, daily at wish fresh handtowels (except Thursday).

In the hotel there was the possibility of washer and dryer use, cost incl. laundry detergent 2,50 Euro. Twice daily a German speaking doctor was in the hotel which I used for a sore throat - 3 minutes exam, prescription penicillin, but 85 Eur for that we thought very high.
Bike rental at hotel available, the bikes were ok, but lacked service exactly as the hardly openable umbrellas were in a bad condition. I didn't find one which didn't have a flat tire, so I told the reception - they weren't surprised - and gave a tire pump, which I received promptly, seemed to be normal. Of the 27 gears a few still worked. The rental fee for the bikes was 5 Eur hour, in our opinion unfairly high.

In the reception area there were public PC's with internet access with the private notebook one could enter the hotel net for tourists and have a free internet access.

The restaurant for half board was ok for us, very children friendly, very large and very well organized, however totally more efficient than nice. The waiters were very friendly, courteous and stress resistent to the background noise from the many small children. The food was good, but not anything special, little variety.
We had booked half board - it would have been better only breakfast, since one could book the half board on a daily basis, so that one could visit external restaurants nearby for change and have a real food highlight. For 2 weeks it was ok, but nothing special. The restaurant director had corrected us, since we - on the fourth day after we had asked daily for a table for 6 persons, and still none - we put two tables together ourselves - it took 15 seconds and bothered none. Also he warned us since our son (2 years) came to breakfast barefoot. Spanish ease looked totally different.
The second restaurant was located near the beach, was nice evenings to drink a wine, half board tourists received a 20% reduction on the food. The music we thought was too loud, at live music very much too loud.
There was a bar, which was very large, but didn't have any flair in our view, which was rather more convenient than beautiful. The babyphone was helpful (real) within reach of 300m - since one could sit in the bar evenings, as our children slept. Evenings it was loud here, since the activiiteis were in the room in front. A bottle of water 0,5L cost 2 Eur, beer for about 2-3 Eur, bottle house wine (which we thought tasted good) cost 8,50 Eur. Price for the drinks we thought were fair.

To the very clean beach it was 100m. Showers were on the hotels path. The beach chairs were rental, which we didn't use, since we had a beach tent. The beach was clean, the water very flat, for the children it was great to play and build sand castles. A shower on the way to the hotel, which was also used by the tourists.
Tip: Almost every evening toys (pails, ships) umbrellas, air mattresses were left by the departing tourists, so that one didn't need to buy anything.

Directly at the hotel there were two large beautiful children pools, with enough beach chairs for a large part also in the shade. We were here in the off season, so that usually there wasn't a hand towel reservation game. Additional handtowels for the pool and the beach could for a deposit of 15 Eur/handtowel be rented, but every hand towel change cost 1 Eur.

The activities were rated as good, we didn't use them.

Our flat was (as all others too) furnished with kitchenette, refrigerator and microwave, so it was practical. The kitchen was equipped with silverware, cups and glasses which in our view was Spartan and of cheap quality.
Tip: Bring a sharp knife, a few cups for the kids, a few dish cloths, liquid detergent and two bowls for the microwave and also children outlet safety plugs. Our flat didn't have any sensible lights (ceiling lights they had left out to save). The flats should (incl. pull out bed couch) be for 4 adults - which I wouldn't like to test. In the bathrom there was only a bathtub with a shower head including an old shower curtain. The hairdryer and the toilet flush - it was more running than flushing - were at the niveau of the flat, but in the bar there were toilets which were ok.The patio had room for 2 persons and it had the charm of a butchery - the balconies in the upper floors seemed better. We thought it was a ripoff that the safe in our flat was for a rental price extra for 2 weeks 30 Eur - which was paid directly in cash at check-in. The flats were very thin walled, and at a family hotel it happened that one constantly somewhere heard a crying baby - our son got his molars, which we apologize to all those who were at block 3 next to the restaurant. We thought it bothered, that the restaurant employees evenings at 10pm regularly threw away the glass bottles in the containers, but that wouldn't have bothered me before when I didn't have a child.

Tips and recommendations

Facit: A practical hotel planned for kids, with beautiful outdoor area and a nice children's beach. Negative were the Spartan flats, which partly had bad service (exception room maid, outdoor areas and waiters), the ugly patios, the many mosquitoes, an expensive doctor, a restaurant director who seemed more as a shift director than as a service director and the expensive bike's bad condition. Whoever with children wanted something practical with fair prices, would find it. Whoever in the holiday wanted to experience something special and wanted the feeling to be appreciated as a customer, in our opinion would be disappointed here.
