Hotel Eftalou Beach

If the hotel wouldn't offer the hotel bus to drive customers to the city Molyvos (2 km away) it would been awfull. The nerest good beach was 10-15 min walking but it was dificult to swim because the water wasn't high enough. The second beach (which we were going) was about 25 min away from the hotel and had the clearest water i have ever seen. The best beach was in Petra (we had to use the local bus) and a lot of people went also to Anaxos and the 2 km far away Molyvos.

On the reception there were always 2 women. One has been quite friendly but the other one... She was allways on the phone and was annoyed whenever someone came to the reception to ask something. They knew to speak englisch and german. They didn't know where we could go to see some good beaches - it seemed odd because they're native. The only good thing was the free bus drive to Molyvos but they had an strange driving plan and it was a lot of time distance betwen the bus drives.

The food was average. We had breakfast. It was always the same and it had only one type of sasauge. They did not have cacao for the children, only coffe and hot water for the tea and some wery sweet juice. Sometimes we also ate at the hotel restaurant. The prices were cheap and the food was good. But if you booked half-pansion it wasn't much to eat. Only 2 types of meat. And you had to wait for your food a long time.

The pool was dirty, nobody used it because nobody dared to jump in. There were also no entertaining moments only one tv in the lobby. In the agency book was written that they had a billiard pool - we foind it covered with all sort of leaves and broken. The only thing we could use was one ping-pong table. But i must say that they had a lot for children. They had a children corner.

The size of the room was ok. Also the air-condition was ok, but we had problems with the cleaning staff. I had to write it down on a paper to change our towels after 4 days!!!!! even if we put them on the floor they didn't bring us new one. Also the toilet was dirty because they were using the floor water to clean it and you could see the dirty water on the toilet standing. Sometimes they didn't even make our beds.

The best thing is that you rent a car or a scooter.
