Overpriced but comfortable and great location
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Einstein is a very nice hotel if you are staying in St Gallen, convenient to all the sights and shops/restauarants, as well as the main train station. "Comfort" rooms are a decent size and indeed comfortable and quiet, although nothing luxurious. The bathrooms are recently renovated and very clean with excellent showers. While the overall experience was certainly pleasant and I would stay there again, the rack rate they normally charge for these rooms is far exceeding the value considering that St Gallen is a smaller city and there are not many amenities included with the room beyond what you find in a standard hotel chain. If you can get a discounted rate or pay to stay in one of the upgraded rooms, then I would definitely recommend staying here. Otherwise, if you are looking for value of any sort, I am sure you can find a better deal elsewhere in town.
