Hotel El Mouradi Djerba Menzel

Driving taxi was very cheap, we drove to Midoun twice (jouney: 2 €, 4 dinars). Apart from that, there were few excursion possibilities and possibilities to go for a walk.
Our room was very close to the beach.

I've never seen and experienced such an unfriendly staff in a hotel before! The main language was French, they didn't speak much of other languages.
There was an insurrection of 3 waiters due to a friendly request for a clean glass!! Really insane!
It took often very long until they brought new plates to get yourself food. Smoking hookah wasn't really recommended!
The room wasn't clean at all! After the first night, I stripped the bed completely and made a general cleaning with a desinfectant due to the many different stains (we arrived in the evening).
The last day, the departure was at 4 pm, therefore we used the room until 12 pm. However, we couldn't sit in the room anymore (because the bed had already been stripped) and no towels were available anymore. After complaing twice, we got towels 30 minutes later!!

There was a main restaurant as described above, in addition there was the possibility to eat in a second restaurant on advance booking, it allegedly had special theme buffets. But there was nothing different, it was like in the other restaurant, just with a more quiet atmosphere. The same dishes nearly always, you nearly didn't taste any seasoning in the pasta, very few choice in fruits (nothing local!).
Tea was undrinkable due to the water that tasted of chlorine.

There were activities, the same music at the same time at the pool, a little bit annoying. Unfortunately, I only swam at 1,5 days in the ocean during the 7 days due to the extreme accumulation of seagrass in the ocean as well as at the beach. It was removed with escavators nearly every day, because of that, there was an extreme odor formation!
Impudent guests who thought they needed to have the same place at the pool or beach every day and therefore reserved (long before breakfast). But I still always found beautiful "remaining places"!

Beautifully laid out room over 2 stories, but apart from that, many things were broken (steps, lamp, balcony parapet)!

This as well as the whole hotel might have been mordern about 20 years ago. The bed, the mattress surely hadn't been changed since then either!

Bad ratio between price and performance, 2,5 star level at most!!!
