A peaceful oasis away from the bustle *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel had 19 rooms, some were suites. We had a suite directly at the pool and it was fantastic. Very clean, the staff was extremely diligent, even if not all spoke English, they always tried to help. The average tourist age was very mixed, but rather older than 25 years, since there was no all inclusive, very many unpleasant tourists were absent. There was a Turkish breakfast, with a lot of fruit, vegetables, cream cheese etc. Whoever preferred a continental breakfast was at the wrong place here. Here the host country Turkey was presented very close and as delicious as possible to the tourist.
Location
A sun drawback for the location. The hotel was located on the hill and really had to walk about 10 - 15 minutes downtown. The road to the hotel was rather ugly, so opening the hotel door was much nicer. In the middle of paradise, surrounded by countless plants. To the airport it was about 45 minutes. Whoever knew Bodrum, knew it was not definitely famous for its beaches, so rent a car and drive off into the area. There was so much to see!
The friendliness was legendary at this hotel. Very nice, always courteous and if there were special requests, Daniel, the manager will try to fill these. Even spoke a little German, when the English, or Turkish was missing. Car rental, room service, doctor, massage, and hairdresser were offered. Parking places were also available.
Gastronomy
The restaurant was on the roof and there was an incredible view of Bodrum. Worth SEEING. The food was just great. The hotel had its own wines. All of the food was organically prepared. Whoever walked with open eyes through the small facility, would notice a part of it. Mornings still on the tree or branch, in the evening on the plate. Great.
Sport & Entertainment
The pool was only to splash and relax. Be careful with children, not a children's pool. But a whirlpool. Also nice. Also reserve excursions through the hotel. We did not do it, because we preferred to explore all on your own.
Room
Our room was a suite with living room, integrated kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. But this was rather small, and thanks to energy saving light bulbs also rather dark. We had one German channel, ARD, which was sufficient off and on at times to see the news. Otherwise, Turkish, French and English channels. The rooms were very clean and thanks to the refrigerator could also have our own drinks. Our suite was located directly by the pool and sometimes was a bit louder, but because one had hardly seen anyone else, not a problem. But anyway recommendable, as with own patio, where we could eat breakfast. The second floor rooms did have a better view, but only a small balcony.
Tips and recommendations
Our holiday this time was May, I would however prefer June perhaps. In the evening it was still cool. However, it had the advantage that we could do without the air conditioner.Whoever was in Bodrum, should absolutely go to HAMAK across from the marina. There was a great owner from Istanbul, delicious food and nice atmosphere.Cell phones reception was everywhere and could see them everywhere. So it was not a problem. Emails could be read at the manager. Just ask and it was not a problem. For information, beware of the "dangerous" dog (labrador), always pet nice. He was the mascot of the hotel and was always in the way somewhere. :-)
