Die Citylage des traditionsreichen Hauses ist vielfältig nutzbar. Das Weimarer Schloss, die Anna-Amalia-Bibliothek, der herrliche Ilmpark befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. An der Seite des Hotelparkplatzes rauscht sehr laut eine Abluftanlage des Hotels. In den Sälen (Frühstücksräume) atmet überdeutlich die Architektur des Hauses (Umbau in den 1930er Jahren). Empfehlenswert ist das Resaturant Elephantenkeller mit schönem Gewölbe. Allerdings sind manche Kellner unkonzentriert und vergessen und verwechseln die halbe Bestellung. Reinigungskraft trampelt während der Siesta ohne Klopfen ins Zimmer. Die Heizung rauscht. Eine bleibende Erinnerung ist das exklusive Frühstück. Die Vielfalt setzt Maßstäbe!
