Hotel Enzian

Local town ok but a bit limited,very close to railway station.
But for bike holiday you are slap bang in the middle of the best rides in Austria,Italy,Switzerland and South Germany with lots of free info and tips provided by the hotel.

Very competent staff and very friendly also speaking several laungages.

Good choice of food and plenty of it,(just help yourself at the buffet.

No pool as such at the hotel but several alternatives provided free within 5 mins walk.
No evening entertainment during our stay apart from a talk about what was available by the owner.

Our room had TV ,Radio ,Balcony etc
Only thing we could fault was at the time of the stay it was very hot and humid so either Air con or just a fan to circulate the air at night would have been good.

All in all we had a good time and made lots of new friends,landscapes were awesome and came well up to our expectations,the only fault was that we made friends and due to the heat we made full use of the beer garden in the evening,we were not aware of any rule of what time the beer garden became out off bounds and not being rowdy chatted with our new friends over beer still being served till after midnight.
We were approached by the owner and told that we should be in our beds by 11pm and his neibhour had to get up early,I think a little bit of advice on arrival would have been better than the attitude we recieved and may be this info could be put into the arrival leaflet along with better signs in the beer garden as the only one we eventually found in the morning was on a sliding door concealed while open due to the heat.
All three couples were from different nations and all took offence at the owners attitude,after all we had all payed for a relaxing and care free hoilday,and drinking the beer that was still being served to us at midnight.
