Interesting hotel with fantastic view *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A ADreamlike location of the hotel on a cliff above the sea. Our room was 80 meters above the sea. The complex is located in a quiet area, also the place is rather quiet. Partygoer must stop after Funchal. Overall a great resort. Depending on, where one had one's room, you have to use either stairs or several elevators. For wheelchair users is the complex less recommendable. Unfortunately, the number of limited parking spaces, so that one always has to look, you don't have to park in forbidden area and risk a parking ticket. We had booked a room with a view of the sea. Unfortunately we were given on arrival, that this only on the next day available. We had to spend the first night in a so room with garden view and could only moved us the next day. This was very annoying. Where the breakdown was, at the hotel or at the tour operator, we don't know. It is the difference from the hotel. Since we had a rental car the whole week, we of course very much on the island. The pool is very quiet with a fantastic view of the ocean. There is also a wellness area with a sauna where you can see the sea. We had only booked with breakfast. This was varied and varied. It was always immediately refilled, if something ran out. The dining room was very modern equipped and has many places a great view of the ocean. On one evening we had booked half-board on site. The food was very good. But in the evening was the noise window blind in the room was very high. That did not please us so, so we went out to eat the other days. The service was very good, both at the front desk, as well as in the restaurant. A reference to a broken lighting in the rooms led to the immediate repair. The beach you can walk in a few minutes. There is a small beach with large pebbles. There are some timbers on the beach chairs, as well as some umbrellas.
