Absolutely great for the price *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AAlthough the hotel is simple but you still feel very comfortable. The hotel consists of 8 floors. You can take your floor above stairs or by lift. There are several restaurants in this hotel. But you can have breakfast or dinner in your room. Every day you get the newspaper. The rooms are very clean. They were cleaned daily. You can choose between several room categories. There is a Fintesscenter, a pool and a whirlpool tub. Each room has a free internet access available. You have to pay TV. The staff, the cleaning staff are very friendly and always had a smile on their face. For the price it's top notch.
Location
The hotel is located in the middle of downtown. Taxis stop in front of the hotel. The shopping street with very many shops and supermarkets is situated right in front of the hotel. Around the hotel there are very many places for eating. The station Grand is about 800 meters from the hotel. From there you for 2.25 dollar the possibility to go everywhere. The transfer to the airport is about 1 hour by train. By taxi takes about 30 - 40 minutes.
Like I said the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms got cleaned daily. The check in was smooth. But you need to be $100 per person as a deposit at the front desk. The but that's normal in America. That is to be expected in every hotel. clothes for a small price you can cleaners.
Gastronomy Unused
There is a breakfast restaurant on the 4th floor in the hotel where you could get different types of American breakfast. But you can get from 2 restaurants outside of the hotel and order food to your room. The menus are available in every room.
Sport & Entertainment
There is an indoor pool and a whirlpool tub in this hotel. Also a gym is available. There are some theaters nearby, a zoo being free. There is something for everyone in the area.
Room
They are all equipped with TV (which cost, though), air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, a telephone, shower or bathtub, hairdryer, some rooms also have a balcony but not all. For smokers I would recommend a room with a balcony, as in the whole hotel is non-smoking! There are rooms with 2 beds, a room with a very large king size bed, very comfortable, and is more pleasant of course suites. For the little ones are also extra beds. You get free water, coffee for the coffee maker, sugar, milk powder. The towels and bedding could yourself. In the bathroom shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion. The rooms are a little bit thin but in America that is normal. But it is very quiet in the hotel. The electricity supply is 120 volts. You need an adapter.
Tips and recommendations
The value for money I think personally very much. The best travel time is in the summer, as it is very warm in Chicago. But also in the winter there is plenty to do. You should bring warm clothes but its bloody cold.
