Hotel Fuerte Grazalema

The hotel is in a remote area, very scenic in the natural park of Sierra de Grazalema, set in the midst of cork oak forests. A rental car was absolutely necessary. About a 30 -min drive away from Ronda, 5 km to Grazalema. More white villages are be accessed by car: Very close (direction Ubrique): Villaluenga del Rosario with a famous cemetery in a churches ruin and angular bullfighting arena; in Benaocaz ruins there is an Arab settlement. If you hike, is dedicated to the nature park with rare "Pinsapo - Guests can enjoy fir" care. The staff is very helpful and friendly. English was spoken at the reception desk, mostly is even an employee responsive, the German. It is recommended due to the remote location, to book half board. The breakfast buffet was very extensive, mostly were scrambled eggs, bacon u. . similar. Freshly prepared at the buffet. The dinner buffet offered different starters, tapas, (raw vegetables and salad was not as convincingly) two or three different meat and fish dishes with side dishes, varied desserts and cheese. If the service not had occupied by the convention group was superb, for example. Fillets and fish freshly prepared, while there was once an extra an extensive appetizer buffet. We were pleasantly surprised.

The rooms on the first floor have terraces facing the garden and are (for extra beds) a little more spacious, on the second floor the rooms are also a bit bigger, but no balcony. The bathroom was big enough, bathroom and rooms were very clean and in good condition. The sound insulation between rooms seems to be fine, from the hall you can hear but banging (and early-morning Verabschiedungen, if you are unlucky enough with a convention group was superb on the same floor to stay).

We felt comfortable in the hotel and would definitely recommend. The already mentioned Tagungsgruppen are not sufficiently "socially-compatible" organized, so we brought it to the attention of the next stay confirm that no groups stay at the hotel.
