Pure idyll *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A ASmall and comfortable hotel in a quiet, an idyllic surroundings, only about a 30 - 50 meters from the beach. The hotel is very clean and well kept, the rooms were basic but big enough. We had a Franz. Bed about 2.4 meters wide and another twin bed ( although only booked as a double room). Balcony or terrace, TV with three German programs (ARD, ZDF, RTL). Rooms are cleaned daily and every second. Day towel and linen change. Every morning and evening you could have breakfast outside on the covered terrace and dinner, just amazing. Breakfast and dinner buffet. For breakfast selection of dark and light white bread, cereal, 2 types of meat, cheese, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, an omlette as well as well as feta, scrambled eggs or boiled eggs, sometimes deep-fried food for sugar and geschwenkte Teigbällchen ( also delicious) and pastries, several kinds of jam and honey, Greek quark and Apricots ( them out of a tin - but were delicious and refreshing), in addition fried mini sausages. Very good coffee filter!!! Two kinds of juice, tea's and milk. For dinner: soup ( always tasted very good for us), salad buffet, meat and fish dishes, pasta, vegetables and more. We found the food tasted each time but we did not have dish, which we did not like it. Up to standard of Greek cuisine international kitchen had (almost) every evening there was something else, at the something for every taste ( knockers and Dauermeckerer are of course never with anything content). Drinks in the hotel: 1 bottle. Water 1 , - €, large wine red or white 2 , - €, international and Greek beers from the bottle from 2, -€ per bottle which soft drinks also 2, -€ per glass. Messonghi is a small tranquil village with a nice beach (sand/Pebbles) and crystal clear very shallow water, also ideal for smaller children. snugly tavernas and bars on the beach with a spectacular view of the city's land and sea, pure romance for lovers and people that want to fall in love with it, a small Greek dream, we were thrilled and would go back to the same place and the same hotel. Small tip for lovers of cocktail's: "Yannis corner" on the corner of after Moraittika, very cheap and delicious cocktails, here is the value great. Yannis speaks perfect german (and various other languages) and is always good for a few kidding.
