Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AA small family run hotel with attention to detail. A really friendly atmosphere with a personal touch. All the staff were able to speak English, French, German or Russian and always made the guests feel welcome. The hotel building is well designed; the balconies do not encroach on each other giving a certain amount of privacy and the general layout of the public areas provide a feeling of intimacy. The overall design is modern and aesthetic. The pool area was always clean and tidy and the pool itself a decent size for swimming and suitable for children though probably not very young children. The food was excellent, varied and well presented with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The position of the hotel was perfect, only 12/15mins from Heraklion, right on the sea front with a lovely sandy beach. The village/town of Kato Gouves has plenty of nightlife for those who want it or guests can take a stroll along the sea front. There are supermarkets, car hire agents, boat trips, buses and a very good aquarium all in the vicinity. This was certainly one of the best hotels in the area and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family and friends and would definitely go back. All the guests we spoke to when we stayed there said the same.
