A real Caribbean island dream *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe journey, especially from Puerto Plata, took a shuttle service with a microbus forever, but we got a good insight into some Dominican villages and their wisdom. But the long walk it is worthwhile: you are really on a island, on the just this hotel/resort is. The famous Bacardi beach is absolutely gorgeous, but only after all, tourists and the vendors trying to sell a non-all possible. The beaches of the hotel are small, but perfectly adequate and nice. We stayed in a villa with a jacuzzi in the bathroom and on the terrace. Absolutely fantastic! Large, high-quality furnishings and always very clean. The food at the main buffet was very good and diverse, the cocktail fantastic (everything all-inclusive) and the three à la carte restaurants (book early!) all had an excellent cuisine. Only the entertainment on the beach we found after a short time was simply annoying and pushy. Otherwise we can the hotel and Island absolutely recommend!
