Never again gran canaria princess! *

The hotel consists of seven floors. We had our room on the fifth floor.
the complex is the first impression was quite nice laid out.
The hotel offered half board and all inclusive of, wearing a ribbon is required for all-inclusive.
The guests were about 80% british, 10% Dutch and the rest was limited to a few germans and other nationalities. The cleanliness of the hotel left something to be desired, in some places, all in all, the hotel was already a bit getting old. A renovation would be urgently needed in all areas. The hotel has three lifts, are absolutely too small, mostly 1 is broken, in other words there are people before elevator, a disaster. Safe for a fee.

The hotel is located about ten minutes footpath to the beach, to the shopping center 'kasbah' with shops, supermarkets, plenty of disco pubs and restaurants are about 400 meters there. Please note: in the way people for their pub with maps obtrusive ads, the really annoying! Best not to engage and move on. The beach promenade was very nice. If you like to roam is right at home here, plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs on the promenade.
From the airport las palmas wasn't't very large. The transfer took about 25 minutes.
Highly recommended is the market in san fernando (wednesdays and saturdays), palmitos park, jeep safari or banana boat at the beach (10 €).
The beach is very crowded in the summer. The locals spend almost the whole weekend on the beach, then one is located in the sardine can next to each other. Otherwise you could walk along the beach here to maspalomas. But bathing shoes do not forget, in the sand very hot!

The friendliness of the staff was poor, except for the front desk. No smile, no 'buenos dias', nothing! Often one is dispatched or very rude 'looked after'. The staff is simply by the quantity of the guests overstrained. German was at the front desk no problem.
After checking in we could move into our room directly, but only around about 16:30 o'clock arrived at the hotel.
Complaints could travel guide from alltours nothing start. The meal was for breakfast, as well as in the evening there was a disaster. Pool Bar/Snack Bar:
Every day Hamburger, Hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, salad and a pasta dish from about 12:00 o'clock offered. The quality of the food was very poor. The Hamburger Rolls were cold, the meat in a stainless steel-vessel after it was from the grill comes into steep, sausages inedible hot dog. After the motto: bird or die!

All in all, everything and only poor quality the food and drinks were offered.
The cleanliness and hygiene left a lot to be desired. Everywhere full tables with dirty crockery, the time is cleared, as well as umgefallene plastic cups. If you like cats is the place au its cost. Usually you will find these in the snack bar on the tables, the help yourself to the leftovers. Good appetite in the four stars Hotel!

the rooms are large and so far the decor is ok. But also already a bit older nature. The view from the balcony was okay, a little pool view and view of the hotel opposite riu Waikiki. Tips and recommendations

We were very, very disappointed with this hotel. Every year we in the vacation and have travelled extensively, but we have never experienced something like that. When I read the reviews before booking have read, I just thought, here is exaggerated, but as I have seen with my own eyes, are confirmed the negative reviews but. As a German guest you shouldn't come here. Mass processing on whole line. Value for money is good absolutely not.
Tip: the best do not book here, it is better 4 Star Hotels!
