Hotel Grand Beauty

Kemer is a very beautiful area which is let down by this hotel and some others. Hotel too far away from beach really - right on the far edge of town - 25 minute walk to beach - 20minutes to town. Taxi fares cheap though.

No response to complaints. Guests threatened with eviction if they try to get owner to sort out problems. Shuttle bus resricted - if you dont buy a sunbed ticket at the beach you are not allowed to return to hotel on bus - 25 minute walk. Staff do the best they can but up against the odds.

Food is appalling. Same food dished up for EVERY meal breakfast, lunch and dinner. Processed meat, chips (cold), salad, rice, pasta -leftovers put into sauces for next meal. Had no samples of Turkish cuisine. Most guests eat out. Could not even look at food after 3days. Most of the guests had tummy upset. No food cooked hot and fresh. Every thing was poor quality and cheap.
Bar very mean. Every drink even beer watered down. Spirits served about quarter of inch spirit and drowned in mixer. Beer served in tumblers 2 inches beer 2 inches froth and lots of empty glass if you are lucky. These are NOT over exagerations.

Pool good but no shallow end. Dangerous manhole cover on poolside - large hinges stand proud of lid. Easily tripped over. No Sports. No entertainment at all other than taped music from 7a. m. til 1030p. m. No childrens facilities. No shop. No indoor pool.

Room very small. Arrived to dirty linen (even though room was ready), grey towels, broken loo seat no loo paper, no plug for bath or sink. Wall light over bed if you want to sleep together - easy to bash your head on in the night. The wall light came away when touched leaving bare wires in the wall and on lamp. Previous occupant probably wrenched it off the wall so as not to bang head all time. Room needed dusting and general clean.

This area is not up to British standards. In uk this hotel would struggle to get 2* rating.
