Grand Paradise? Definitely not here! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A ATOP: the beach (a very clean, you could walk for miles), Asian restaurant ( best sushi, we have ever had! ), Pool and garden area ( very well maintained), spa area ( very beautifully designed, aroma oil massage was great), room ( basic but clean), buffet breakfast ( a lot of choice, American style, sometimes too little fruit), guests were very mixed ( Americans, French, Canadians, Deutsche, ... ). FLOP: service staff in the buffet restaurant ( working with the "come I unfortunately, I will not be retrieved morning" attitude), as well as at the reception (almost exclusively Spanish and English), the public toilets in the pool area and the on-site steakhouse at the beach were a disaster! ( Very dirty, partly could not be locked by time! ), Buffet in the evening (lack of diversity, partly very greasy and overcooked), the condition in all areas of houses can already get very shabby. It was in the pool area at night sometimes it was very noisy (we had our room and were lucky ear plugs for everyone, otherwise we had probably didn't sleep a wink). At the weekend a lot of locals, then it is a little louder. Very annoying also the "tourist tugs", the every day before the buffet restaurants which were stalking around, the hotel guests with Direktbuchungen intercept, and you have your Agency for the next holiday in this hotel to entice you. CONCLUSION: Definately not 4 star standard!!! RIU or IBEROSTAR rather bay, as you're better off. This hotel has 3 star at best star (and that is generous! ) Whoever had no high demands and three star is happy will feel a comfortable. We were annoyed because we paid and the value definitely wrong! TIPS: with stomach complaints you ordered at the bar "La bomba" ( cocktail of salt, lime, soda and a mysterious herb ELIXIR) is really wonder! Otherwise take enough sun and insect repellent with. They have everything in the hotel shop on-site, but very expensive! Also buy cigarettes: outrageous rates, 7 US dollars to part, 10 US dollars! was very expensive to make phone calls, if we'd have preferred the cell phone, it is also no problem, very good reception about "Orange". If you want to go shopping, should the shopping center outside of the hotel area. There is a lot of choice of lots of souvenirs and gifts, however, one need some nerve, bargain welcome! The shops in the hotel area we had fixed prices and are very expensive! Depending on whether you are staying in the club area or in the hotel area, varied the distance to the beach. From the club area from, drove every few minutes the blue shuttle train to the beach. You should also at the hotel always a few US dollars in your wallet if you need anything, you have to pay immediately! (For example internet cafe, etc. ) In other places is certain amenities on the run seperately and be put to pay this when we checked out, not! Use the theme restaurants, you'll get reservations for two per week ( but you get more if you want, it was not controlled) and the food is a bit more sophisticated than at the buffet restaurant. Highly recommended: Asia, Michelangelo, Taino!
