Hotel Grande Real Santa Eulália

40 Minutes by car from the airport. 10 Minutes to Albufeira Centro. Is located on a beautiful sandy bay. It can accommodate at any time with the Caribbean. The resort is very quiet. If you want "Ballermannstimmung" is in 10 minutes in Albufeira. This is our opinion the downfall of the hotel. It is not the typical Algarve you get there and see. You have to drive around to the beautiful areas. Supermarket is nearby (self-catering in the appartments).

All employees were very friendly and helpful (worth 5 stars). Child care was very professional. The cleaning of apartment was also great. Even the dishes were had been swept away completely. There is nothing in the hotel that was missing. For every guest there (even for children) rented a bathrobe (only) and very comfortable slippers. Everywhere at the pools there were enough towels.

Breakfast buffet was very rich and there was nothing missing. You can also have breakfast outside. Otherwise we had the bar and the fish restaurant Santa Eulalia tried. Although the restaurant a fish restaurant is good with children. For children there was also fischfreie dishes. The quality is awesome but not cheap!

There are tennis courts (incl. Tennis lessons). Golf is of course also offered. There is a daily adults and kids' program. Scuba diving center, Pilates, aqua aerobics and I could go on and on 4 pools which are heated. Health club with indoor pool and jacuzzi. The whole spa area is only for adults to use free of charge (only from 7 days stay)! Gym and beauty area. All massage. It was in particular thalasso treatments. Specializes in. Sauna and steam bath are also available but didn't with German standard! Not recommended. The customers with swimsuits and without towel in the sauna. There is no hose steam room. Area was also not separated from the indoor swimming pool. The quiet area was comfortable but no resting area, because it is not separated from the pool. So you get all the sounds of pool (whirlpools) with. There is also too few chairs (only 6 ).

We stayed in the apartment. Small kitchen (2 burners, microwave, refrigerator, dishes, and so on completely equipped), bedroom, bath with shower, and sofa bed in living room (for child). In one of the buildings on the ground floor with terrace you can stay in the top floor with a balcony. There is a separate swimming pool with poolside bar in the Resortbereich. Architecturally the apartments are stunningly decorated very tastefully. Beds are very good. Ideal for families with children. Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy. The guests from the upper floor at movement or children crying. TV with 4 German channels.

We booked the hotel through a Wellnesszeitschrift found. It is only a few German travel agencies. We booked through German tour operator Dertour incl. Rental car was a week. The value for the quality of the hotel was excellent. To be recommended at any time. Only the location (Albufeira) is not the best for a Algarveurlaub. It is one of the first hotels where you as a family with small children) holiday! Weather in April was unfortunately very changeable. It was beautiful green and many was doing so. However, we would probably another trip prefer the Pentecost holiday.
