Hotel Grupotel Amapola

The hotel is located approximately 5 minutes by foot from the nice fine-sandy beach on a side street, very quiet there. We had a room on the top floor with view of the pool, and of the hotel bordering sea. Shopping possibilities are available in the surrounding areas. The transfer time averages about 1 hour. Ideal starting point for trips with a car in the north and east Malorcas.

The staff were very friendly, above all in the dining hall as well as at the hotel bar (many greetings by the kitchen chef Pepe, as well as from people at the bar, Juan, Carla, and Christobal). All employees of the hotel were also very child friendly, and always had fun with our one-year-old son. A travel service was indeed present daily, was however not used by us. It recommends a possible rental car booking out from Germany.

A good breakfast was in the all-inclusive offer, lunch- and dinner from the buffet, coffee and cake as well as drinks (unfortunately not all) contained at the hotel bar. The food was always delicious and varied, it was always efficiently filled up until the end of the meal time. Empty plates were quickly taken away. For our wedding anniversary our friends were served a bottle of champagne at our table, also on our last evening Pepe took the time to make a toast with us.

The hotel has a small pool, and a separated childrens pool. There is a mini golf facility, a tennis court, and a childrens playground. You could travel around on the hotel lake with a paddle boat. Our dutch guide indeed strived to please us, but not always convincingly. During the day there was a program for the children, but also for adults (darts, clay pigeon shooting). There was a small childrens club with a subsequent program for the adults in the evening (quiz, bingo,...) There was also a parrot show on one evening, also a very entertaining music show was offered.

The room consisted of a cot bed plus additional childrens bed which was too small, but sufficient. The kleiderschrank could be somewhat larger. Otherwise practicaly arrangements with satellite television, large balcony, ... The cleaning staff performed very good work, and were also always friendly.

Definitely get a rental car, and explore the very nice island.
