Hotel Grupotel Amapola

The transfer from the airport took 1 hour. From the beach it was from the hotel ca. 500m, not a problem to walk the short stretch. There were many sparmarkets, tobacco stores, parfume stores, money machines and restaurants in the area available. We drove once on the bus to the port of Alcudia and walked back on the beach, very beautiful. One traveled with the bus for a bit of money in all of the neighboring locations and to Palm, otherwise one could rent cars or bikes on every corner.

The staff was very friendly and almost all spoke German. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the hand towels on request were daily changed. We didn't have any complaints, but all of our questions were politely answered.

There was a large dining room and a bar in the pool area, both very clean. The tables in the dining room were immediately cleaned after each guest, the dishes were quickly cleared away. Mornings one could get the drinks in the dining rooms, after 10am at the bar. The drinks mostly came from the machines, and didn't all taste. For breakfast there were bread rolls, baguettes and croissants, granola, eggs, bacon, crepes always fresh, cold cuts, cheese, jam etc. Lunch and supper there was food in buffet style, certain dishes as noodles with tomato sauce always repeated themselves, there was everyday something different. Very much was breaded and greasy, but one didn't have to eat it as there was a large enough selection.

We played tennis, volleyball, air hockey and billiards and off and on participated in water gymnastics. There were enough offers, whether one took part everyone decided himself. The entertainers were very nice, and could always think of something. We used the pool a lot, even when it was very cold, but in October really not unusual. The poolchairs at the pool were comfortable and richly available. Even sunshades were available, one could also lay in the shade. The beach was a dream, clear warm water and everything was super clean. The evening program at the hotel had variety and there was something there for everyone. We had once musicians which weren't really our taste, something for the elder generation. One evening acrobats were there, that was really worth seeing.

The room with bathroom and the balcony were large enough for us and very clean. The furniture wasn't the newest but convenient. The beds weren't so very great, since they always went apart, but one could live with it. We had a TV with 4 German programs. The toilets were however clean, but the flush was always running, which was annoying.
