Super hotel! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AIt was a great hotel, we were already there for the second time. It was situated directly at the main street of Alcudia, but that didn't disturb at all. There was no room with sea view since there were also large hotel complexes on the opposite side of the street. The bus stops were in front of the hotel, you could comfortably scout out the island with the regular bus. The hotel had two pools which we never used however. It took only 3 minutes to walk to the beach. We booked half board and that was completely sufficient in our opinion. If you wanted, you could eat lunch in one of the many restaurants in the town.
Location
Directly at the main street in Alcudia! About 300 meters away from the beach! The beach secton there was really a dream! Transparent water! Just marvelous to swim! And you always found two free beach chairs with umbrella for 8 euros! There was also a landing stage where ships docked! You could make a journey to Cap Formentor with the glass-bottom boat on your own! Really beautiful and you got to know Majorca from a completely different side! Apart from that, the surrounding area invited for a small after-dinner walk in the evening! The bus stop from which you reached many places was in front of the hotel! The old town of Alcudia, Can Pincafort were both reachable in 5 minutes, but you could also reach Palma and the caves of the dragon and even Sa Calobra was reachable! You could also drive to Porto Pollenca which was worth seeing!
The service was very good in this hotel! They spoke several languages at the reception! All were very helpful and you didn't see irritated faces like at home! They already sent us Christmas cards home after our 2nd visit! Very attentive, you can only say!
Gastronomy
The food in the hotel was great! Very varied and always prepared freshly, you found delicacies at the large buffet in the morning and in the evening! On the day of our arrival, we got a permanent table in the restaurant for the whole stay. That was great because you didn't have to look for a table that way. In the evening, you could drink a delicious cocktail at the bar which was really worth its money! And the staff was really always friendly, motivated and not false or morose as you sometimes experience it in other hotels!
Sport & Entertainment
There were no activities or something like that in the Maritimo! We didn't miss that either. There were 2 pools! These were probably not often visited because the ocean was on the other side of the street! It would be shame to lie at the pool with this proximity to the beach! But those who wanted to do it, could do it!
Room
Renovated rooms with small balcony! Everything was in a very neat and very clean state! There was everything you needed (hair-dryer, safe, telephone, TV etc.)! You felt comfortable!
Tips and recommendations
If you wanted to spend a relaxing beach holiday with good food on Majorca, you were right in the Maritimo! You were also right there if you wanted to see many things of the island and enjoy one of the longest and most beautiful beaches on the island! If you wanted action and see drunk young people who shout loudly, you were wrong there!
