Food is great, cleanliness and room was a flop *

Based on the positive reviews and the bargain price of 350 €per person (Where./ full board/all inclusive flight with Ryan Air) the trip was quickly booked. The hotel lobby and restaurant, since renovated. As well as a la carte lunch and dinner always a tasty buffet with plenty of choice and good quality. Staff was very efficient and you were served very fast. An area with show cooking was also managed. Our hotel is characterised by the daily changing fish selection! Actually, one could eat the Hors d'oeuvre buffet with salad and delicious full. Great were also always the daily changing Spanish desserts. The breakfast was not the best, but you can still get a full and find one. The juices from the machine are disgusting sweet, incomprehensible as a chemical soup drink. Many desserts and hardly any fresh, therefor there was always fries and beans for our English friends. Different kinds of bread types to choose from, honey, jam from the package. Cereals are also available. The atmosphere or the volume in the dining room reminded of a cafeteria, especially at the breakfast. The rooms are very worn, here is a renewal necessarily. We have changed the first room, in the bathroom the mold joints against jumped. Despite complaint were the flaws in the bathroom does not, of course, a five minutes action to fix it. Luckily another room was available. The maids cleaned only superficially. The price paid in accordance with. The carpets in the hallways are exchanged must urgently, because it was very dirty and worn. The neighboring Cambrills is well worth a visit, as it wasn't't very crowded with beautiful touristic shops/restaurants. Salot is a pure tourist town with numerous shops and gourmet food. Therefor a great wide beach promenade with lots of palm trees and fountains. Very well-kept and great for walking. Germans were in the minority, many Russians, British and Dutch. The hotel or the travel time will be used by pensioners. Only a few young couples and families. A trip to Barcelona is a must. Ride with 14 euro pp the for the trip back and forth very good value for money, with about one and a half hour drive. In Barcelona even you can also cheap with the underground all sights. Be careful pickpockets everywhere, especially on la Rambla. The park Guell absolutely worth seeing!
