Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AHotel with 187 rooms in the first tower, built in 1903 , in New Orleans was combined apartment. The construction took place in 1995 to the hotel. The rooms are located on floors 4-14 . The hotel entrance is also a much inter alia passage of the neighboring buildings. There you will find also during the day a food hall with pizzas and hamburgers. The hotel reception is the hotel-lifts in a Seitenraum. In the lifts you have to swipe your room key to the real floor. Internet access via WLAN is included in the room rate, as well as the extensive buffet breakfast. No pool, however, a fitness center. The hotel is only valet parking for $27 per night possible, the self-parking in the area should not be much cheaper. Can also be easily reached by car it is worth to the park & Stay package. Guest structure: especially tourists, Americans and international.
Location
At Canal Street changes the burbon street from Carrondelet once you get your name and means. The hotel is situated 1 ½ block from Canal Street. You are within walking distance to less than 10 minutes in the touristic interesting part of the burbon Street. The French Quarter is from the hotel on foot. Carondolet Street is a one way street car so you can not directly by the Canal Street wise drive. The hotel entrance is right in the same direction as good superb, look but the tram. Get with google maps in the satellite-view a first impression of the situation. With street view in Google Maps you can be in the hotel and explore the surrounding area. From the hotel to the New Orleans Amtrak station (Union Passenger Terminal) it was about 1.5 km, to Louis Armstrong airport was about 25 kilometers.
Quick check-in without problems. Prompt valet service. If I each 10 minutes before departure after the car 10/05/06, then the car was then always front of the hotel entrance. Immaculate room cleaning.

The breakfast is included in the room rate as mentioned, there are also at the buffet hot breakfast items scrambled eggs. The breakfast room on the 4th floor. Floor is comfortably spacious, there was plenty of free tables. You also get coffee during the day in the breakfast room or tea. In addition, there is no service in the restaurant at the hotel. But then you find in New Orleans and also plenty of alternatives in the area.

Room
I had a studio room ("king study") with a king size bed and a sofa bed, which doubles as. When booking I was the "have a preference., a room in the upper floors. My corner room was on the 10th floor at the back of the hotel away from the traffic. There was no noise from the outside, and also from the neighboring room-to-room noise. Due to the fact that the hotel was built in a historic building, was studio rooms have large height, and also the layout was generous. In a closet were a TV (32") with cable TV, fridge (empty), microwave and a safe-deposit box to find, iron and ironing board, as well as of wardrobe space. By the way the door of this wardrobe for the TV also look hanger bottoms (doesn't immediately recognized, what I had. Work desk with chair and electrical outlets, high speed Wi-Fi internet access without problems. Quiet central air conditioning, adjustable. Coffee and tea making facilities, hair dryer. The studio room, bathroom, the furnishings were not very new, but well kept and clean.
Tips and recommendations
Outside the hotel you can climb the historical tram (St. Charles streetcar), the first in the direction Canal Street runs and then take the direction Garden District. An interesting sightseeing tour, you encounter beautiful properties. The trams also the Audubon Park. From the bus stop in the Park are there to Audubon Zoo about 1500 meters walk through the park. Missing in google maps for New Orleans the details of the public transport. But you can get on the website under "riders trip, there are several shopping centers such tools" orientation. The public transport if you often used, then it is worth the 3 -day Jazzy-pass. Among other things you get at Walgreens, 900 Canal Street. See details on the there are several shopping centers such website.
