Hotel Helena Park

The location is perfect. About 5 minutes walk to the beach. There are many restaurants, supermarkets, bars in the immediate vicinity. Still the hotel was located relatively quiet. The closer you into the city center, the louder and full of it. (About 35 min.) there were more than enough shopping possibilities. The whole promenade is full with dealers, but mostly the same sale: faked clothing bags, watches, sunglasses of designers, Gucci, D&G and so on If you like that sort of thing, cheap shopping. But the quality of the things is accordingly also cheap. The airport is about 40 minutes. The old town Nessebar which could be reached either by bus (€0.50 ) or with the water taxi (€15 ). This trip I would definitely recommend. The town is very old and historic very interesting. There are also many other trips from the hotel, but we didn't booked.

The staff was friendly. They were all very motivated to please. One must say, that the working conditions in Bulgaria more difficult than in Germany. And the salaries much, much lower than in Germany. So you can't expect the staff before a dancing. at any time, but I found that the service staff was unfriendly. Our waiter was a bit pushy, but otherwise you can't complain.

The food was really very good. The food was always fresh and tasted good. The selection was very large. There was something for every taste. Apart from the main restaurant, there is also a fish and a sushi restaurant. Both restaurants I would definitely recommend it. The prices in the hotel are expensive (but only compared to the prices at the location! ) It was a really good quality and a nice atmosphere.

Pool from the Helena Park we didn't use, so can't comment on that (you didn't go to the sea, to get in the pool or play?) The beach chairs at the beach cost extra (3.50 euros/pool chair) so if you take two beach chairs and an umbrella, you would pay 10.50 euros. Pretty expensive, as I think! The beach chairs were also uncomfortable. The beach is very nice and long. You can walk for hours. Especially in the evening is particularly romantic. Moreover, you could jet skiing, para-sailling and so on. Rates are relatively ok entertainment there were enough. both morning and in the evening. We didn't use it.

The rooms were nice. Luckily we had our room to the pool side and it was very quiet. The decor was, as already chosen to be fine. Room cleaning was good and especially early. Safe (you have to pay 25 euros/2 weeks). Air conditioning worked well, but it was a bit noisy.

Sunny Beach is a noisy party area. Whoever had fun and party, is the place for you! To relax Bulgaria was less suitable. But I found the holiday extremely nice and value for money here definitely. For me is clear: If sun beach - this hotel.
