Hotel Herald House

A mailbox is within walking distance (always good to know this; ), the bus stop, a supermarket as well as smaller stores, kiosks and restaurants. In fact you can explore the whole city prima walk and requires the bus back to the airport only. If you walk from the hotel to Edinburgh Castle and you are at least 15 minutes.

Check-in was around 2 :30 h and check out until 11h went smooth. If you early or next day very much time to have wanted to walk around town, you could leave our luggage and later squeeze. Of course, that was pretty amazing. The room was cleaned every day including changing of towels. Otherwise can only say that the staff were very nice and friendly.

It was a bar available, which was however not tested. The breakfast is served in the dining room where a buffet was set up: yogurt, cereal, rolls, toast, jam, honey, English breakfasts (so fried eggs, Schinken, ... ), pickled pears. In addition there were several juices, tea, cocoa, and coffee. Everything was very clean, the buffet was regularly replenished and the dirty dishes were cleared fast. The staff was very nice and the might have been carried a hairnet; )

The room was very clean and equipped with all important. took some getting used to, that the sink in the bathroom, but with integrated into the room was. I think this was however the bathroom was very small: shower and WC just fit in, for the sink was then no more space. The shower itself was using a workman working powered, a few minutes Erhitzungszeit needed, before you could shower.

If it is possible, one should bring a Loch Ness/Highlands tours. These sometimes booked from Germany and is definitely worth it!:)
