The hotel is located in a side-street in a former business but not more. Meanwhile, at the edge of the banking district and just about a 15 minute walk from the Edinburgh city center. From the outside the hotel is a typical Granitbau, inside a bit winding and typically British. For a 2 * hotel but absolutely ok. We had a 3 bedroom which is quite large with a very large bathroom. The bathroom was apparently newly renovated and clean. The rooms as well as the carpet was new and furniture from a Swedish store mine. Only the TV had felt Mäusekinogröße. The staff was very friendly and helpful, as well as the night porter. Breakfast was better than in many other better hotels. There was "full Scottish breakfast" with everything that belonged from the buffet. Normal things like toast, jam, cereal, juices etc was also everything available. Coffee was available in self-service from a vending machines of also latte, Caffe Latte, chocolate and espresso. But the breakfast room was about small and felt a bit rude. As we arrived we were allowed but with two children in the room next drivers breakfast was probably the restaurant on the evenings. Here it was quiet and pleasant. Near the hotel is a Tesco supermarket and several pubs and restaurants. I would from the price-performance ratio not hesitate to stay there again.
