Large hotel close to the lake *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Hilton Hotel Chicago is located on South Michigan Avenue, just a few minutes walk from the "loop", opposite the Grant Park, direct view of the lake, a little further north is the Art Institute of Chicago and the Millennium Park. Also the shopping district of the "Magnificent Mile" is in 20-30 minutes on foot. In front of the house there is also a bus stop. The line 3 and 4 go directly to the Magnificent Mile, a typical fare will cost approximately 2.30 USD (pay the right, as no change). Will you often bus is worth taking a card the CTA, here cost only 2 USD and every other ride in the facilities 0.25 USD, without card are 2.30 USD to pay again. Nearby is the METRA train - station, but in the suburbs runs and maybe with a wonderful trip to the Museum of Science and Industry and to McCormick Place good Render such services. In the immediate vicinity are even the Field Museum (natural history), the Aquarium and the Planetarium. Behind the hotel is situated in about 5-10 minutes walking distance to the subway which runs to the airport. The hotel is a bit dated, but very well kept and had many rooms. The staff is friendly. The room size was ok. Everything we needed was available, such as coffee maker, TV, iron board, telephone, air-conditioning etc. Two big beds are ok. Not understandable for me two bathrooms which are identical without shower. If you are unlucky enough, and the room in the courtyards is collected and see only the other wall with other rooms. Through the lack of sun the rooms are also very dark. Lake looks as if you very close to the slice of. So, if possible, book a room with direct sea. Nearby there are a few fast food restaurants, if it a hurry. Next to the hotel is also a Starbucks. In the summer you can enjoy the location right next to the park certainly very nice, in winter it is due to the direct Fusing but very cold. Personally, I'd certainly lives up to a hotel close to the Magnificent Mile, for example. select directly on the Chicago River.
