Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Hilton Miami downtown has not convinced us completely. It took three attempts, until we reasonably satisfied with our room (the first room was right across from the ice machine in the hallway, second room had a connecting door) and even with the third time was the location, right next to the elevators does not just ideal, since the 'ping' could hear the elevator. Because the hotel wasn't't fully booked, we had friendly asked for a room on the other side to get, what you told us, that therefor 20 US-Dollar night extra would be payable. Same room category, only other direction = 20 dollars extra... Well, customer service is somehow different. The hotel room itself was nice and spacious with two comfortable queen size beds and a large flat-screen tv equipped. The closet was tiny and had already better days. The same goes for the bathroom, which was very small and in need of a renovation could do with some updating. The sink seemed relatively new, toilet, bathtub, shower curtain, tiles and grout had the best time have long behind it. The hair dryer in the bathroom was broken, but it was 15 minutes after our information to the front desk exchanged. The cleanliness was in order, but we have also better. Wireless internet access is available in the lobby, restaurant and bar free of charge, at the extra charge available. Since we had booked a package including breakfast, we are at the check-in vouchers for the breakfast, which one then the competent staff given has. All inclusive food and beverage choices were impressive, you wanted an American breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, omelets, pancakes and so on, you had to pay extra eight dollars per person. As the 'normal' buffet but really spacious and with many delicious things stocked, we believe that this is not necessary. There was fresh fruit, various cereals, cold cuts, different kinds of cheese, yogurt, oatmeal, Danish pastries, croissants, toast, bagels, very good juices, tea, coffee... A very good breakfast. Since Hilton lived up to its name. Since we a rental car had, we were on the garage from the hotel. There are two possibilities... You can 'valet parking', where you for 28 dollars a day car from the staff often drove out or get into, or you pay for the parking garage upon every exit after hours. You can just leave your car, the $24 per day. So it's a small division, which selects one the best. Due to the low extra charge, we opted for the valet parking and thus we were absolutely flexible and did not confine to public transport. We had no bad stay at the Hilton, for those, however, price was a little more expected-especially as regards the standard of the room. So we can recommend this hotel in principle, but would the next Miami-visit to a possible alternative to look around.
