Hotel Holiday Inn Hasbrouck Heights

We are on the JFK airport and had a shuttle bus booked, as this also driven to Manhattan hotel, took about 2 hours to the hotel, the flight home we were driving and without traffic in good a 1/2 hour. At the airport. We are from New Jersey to Manhattan by bus which drove depending on traffic and bus between 30 and 75 mins. The Bushaltetstelle there was a free shuttle from the hotel. Nearby there are Starbucks, Dunkin Donat, MCDonald. Tours were offered from the hotel/vermitttelt, but we didn't use it. The hotel bus can take you, up to 3 times a day, to a target within 3 miles, including the mall!

The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Joyce! It is probably difficult without English, the room cleaning speaks Spanish, there was a room with washing machines in the hall. As we only once in the restaurant for breakfast, I can't say much about service, but it was friendly and good. We had first ordered by fax a smoking room on arrival, which was unfortunately not, but after multiple requests, you could get us a smoking room admit and after 3 days we moved. A private hand towel was gone after the room cleaning and unfortunately did not return.

There is a restaurant/bar. Breakfast buffet for $12.95 was ok. You shouldn't expect too much in USA.

Nice large room with 2 beds, very comfortable, 2 pillows to choice, soft or firm extra blankets in the drawer, flat screen TV, microwave/fridge (not used), safe, iron and ironing board + electric iron, coffee maker, coffee and was delicious nachgfefüllt every day. Everything was clean and in good condition, and in the bathroom

For a another New York we would go back to this hotel, no comparison to the old, large hotels in Manhattan. The daily bus ride is not disturbing. It has very good cell phone reception. Two local phone calls were free from the front desk.
