Humphreys is located on Shelter Island, a peninsula close to downtown and the airport. Apart from the hotel and there are numerous marinas close on Shelter Island almost nothing. The led, they were going for a fairly quiet corner San Diego to do - also with a great view of the skyline. For activities in the city you need a car, as it is a public transportation system, but in the city is a good hour. By taxi, however, it was a 15 minutes walk to the city. The hotel area was very well presented. Most buildings are to be a very nice garden and pool area built. You immediately felt comfortable. Our room was on the latest state of the art, from the two large new LCD TVs. apart ... But the rooms are very large and more like a small apartment with bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom, and the balcony, the view of the Bay in our case. A better place for breakfast you can't imagine. In-room safes, and refrigerators are also available. To any food in the hotel and we were self catering so we can't comment on quality of the food. Self parking is $10 a day. We wouldn't another stay at the beautiful San Diego book again any time.
