Hotel Huntley Arms

As we only passing through the Huntly Arms stop, we only had limited time to explore the area. Negative to highlight was the modest range of restaurants/bars in and around Aboyne: We were only after long search (also in the surrounding villages) would find it.

(see point "room") related to a complaint in connection with our room we found that competent people of the management only hard or the ultimate consequence did not accessible. So we had to always back to our new the facts 24 -our "noisy room" from A to Z, since the complaint, its content obviously not from the front desk to the assistant manager or the manager was passed on. All in all we felt in our concerns taken seriously in any way, as we were three times promised, the manager will be a later date accept our problem - but it was too the dates in question suddenly prevented always at short notice!

As our stay only breakfast included the Huntly Arms, we couldn't completely on the gastronomic qualities. We were on our Scotland round trip to 6 different hotels/inns and had to conclude that the "scottish breakfast" in Huntly Arms by far the worst quality it lacked: The scrambled eggs didn't imagine, that actually eggs were prepared and the (almost cold) bacon was 90 percent of white Fettstreifen.

Already when we got our room (number 106 ) we found that the music of the directly below to hear pubs almost unfiltered. Several complaints to address on reception and/or of management (see point "service") led be told that the house unfortunately had overbooked and we would have to content with the room. In this sense we had to endure noise levels until 1 :30 am, for the widely experincenced excessive evade smooth the license would! Next to the powerful sound system (mainly dance and techno music) were even the increasingly louder budding's pub-visitors to hear conversations. Amplified by the fact that immediately below our Zimmerfensters constant a group of 10 to 20 people talking and is non-smoking, so we were a party of two sides of the room with noise bothering you.

As far as we can Huntly Arms so sorry we do - only a tip: Avoid!
