TOP Hotel in Puerto Plata *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe stayed for two weeks in June at the Iberostar Costa Dorada and are - like last year in Punta Cana ( Iberostar) - very satisfied with this hotel chain. You can really say that when staying at an Iberostar hotel, you can truly enjoy a beautiful holiday! Our double room was very spacious, nicely decorated and in a great location. The food is very versatile, there was something for each taste! The service of the staff is impeccable. They are always in a good mood and very accommodating! On the beach there unfortunately is often a strong wind, which can sometimes be a little annoying... But that's just the way it is in the north! The beach and the sea could be a bit cleaner, as much seaweed lies on or swims near the beach. I have to admit that the beach can't keep up with the one of Punta Cana, but it's okay and the staff always tried hard to keep everything clean. In Puerto Plata it's no problem to go outside the hotel area and visit the shopping center... Additionally, there are great excursion possibilities offered. We booked the excursions Puerto Plata for half a day (rum factory, cigar factory, amber, cable car), Ocean World (zoo), and a Baggy drive. We had a lot of fun!!!
