A fantastic holiday
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe moved from a horrible supposedly 3 star hotel to the Playa de Muro and were delighted in every way with the change. Definitely more than 1 star difference! All the staff were lovely and friendly, and Alex on Reception was particularly pleasant and helpful.
The food was absolutely wonderful and the variety unbelievable. Every meal was a delight. We didn't take any excursions or trips because we were just happy to laze by the lovely pool between meals, while our little boy played in the water or attended the well-supervised children's activities.
Our only slight unhappiness was the fact that very many guests seem to get up in the early hours of the morning to make sure they 'reserve' a sun-lounger by the pool. Many seemed to be up and laying out their towels before dawn, often then not using the 'reserved' loungers until much later in the day, having ensured that no-one else could use them in the meantime! The only solution is to join in the 'game' and get up early, or you will be condemned to sit on hard upright chairs!
Another area where we felt there might be a slight room for improvement was with the air conditioning in our room, which on some nights was only just adequate to cope with the heat-wave Alcudia experienced during our stay in early July.
However, all in all we had a truly wonderful holiday at the Playa de Muro, and would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.
