The beautiful facility has a comfortable size. Friendliness and cleanliness were very good with one minus: While eating, we has to look closely to notice that the glasses and plates, weren't 100% clean. The beautiful pools were used by us only a little, because we would rather have spent the day on the beautiful beach in peace. In any case, the conditions are favorable for our 5 * hotel standards, but you have to expect some unpleasant guests. Behavior and manners were the exception, but this is absolutely no criticism of the hotel.
Recommendations and notes:
We had booked a junior suite, and we would do this definitely again. The suites are in an annex building, for people who like their peace and quiet, which was great for us.
The private trip to Havana was great and was enormous fun.
The "Internet" is not comparable with our standards. 20 CUC for 24 hours straight. Extremely slow and unreliable Wi-Fi, and a proxy server which blocked a lot of ports.
We gladly gave tips. 1 CUC per meal on the table, and 1 CUC per day for the maid for our room and some at the bars and sometimes one or the other CUC for special occasions. This is entirely appropriate and is rewarded with greater ease.
Finally, I can speak of a truly beautiful and enjoyable holiday in a great hotel. Those who were already in Cancun, or the Dom. Rep., will notice the difference, but won't be disappointed.
