The outside bad - good indoor *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AArchitecturally possibly one of the worst chain of France is the "Ibis Gare Avignon" (of course! ) directly at the Innenstadtbahnhof of Avignon. The ugly construction crossed a street and provide a standing on stilts bolt the the train station / bus station from the ring road and the town-wall divides. The location wasn't bad, just a few minutes you'll reach the historic center of Avignon ( tourist info about five minutes away) and within walking distance to everything. In the city to find a great variety of bars, bistros and restaurants. If you want to shop is also well cared for and also go sightseeings ( Pope's palace, bridge and so on. ) are all in the immediate area. Inside is what makes this hotel - thank god - a much better than the outside impression. It is in comparison to many other Ibis hotels in the reception area much more generous and friendly decorated. Guests can use the internet terminal without extra charge. The rooms are small but excellent stayed proof. The rooms to the station side too a Schälldämmung of five (! ) slices. A train runs outside if you hear anything in the room! The hotel has about 100 rooms and long corridors are a bit of a Penal institution ... But overall you can't say; for a price of 50 - 60 euros (Internet) you good!
