The Ibis Basel train station is only about two minutes footpath from the main train station Halle. The hotel is clean and the rooms IBIS typical equipped. No luxury but everything you need. But the first time I have experienced in the balconies. At least in the room on the top floor. The balcony was very small, but enough for a step further to smoke. Soundproofed window by the traffic of the main train station nothing with. Generally, the area is not very nice. Restaurants and snacks in the area
