Nice hotel in a neglected City *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is located directly across from the train station and has therefore also a good traffic connections. With a car, you can drive directly in front of the hotel and parking on the street. The hotel also has a secure car park, 8 €per night cost.
The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The gentleman at the front desk spoke French, English and Spanish.
The rooms were big enough and the standard of a three star hotel. The bathroom was a little small, but still so large, that you gave in to space. Room and bathroom were clean.
If you're a light sleeper, you should definitely bring ear packs, because the Hotel is very noisy.
The gastronomy can only be said, that the breakfast costs extra 13 €per day. This is taken care of, so no review by the quality. If the 13 €too expensive, you can take also in a much cheaper breakfast train station.
In the immediate vicinity of the hotel (1-2 minutes walk), you will find several restaurants and bars. I can only recommend the Italian restaurant. Not too expensive, a great service and very delicious food.
Also right around the corner there is a small supermarket, everything for the day-to-day Bearf leads.
The city cannot be judged, since we arrived only to the Davis Cup. However, the view of the city from the hotel was not so inviting.
Conclusion: don't expect wellness hotel, but the three star rating the hotel. A really good hotel for people on business trip.
